Futon!!

So we've lived here for about 4 months and we finally got a futon! We've had our bed in the living room this whole time. But sice Alli and Eli will be here wednesday we figured we should get one finally. We got a great deal and it's prett nice.

Tough Week

The past few days have beena little tough.....My Uncle Ted passed away after being very sick for some time. We knew it was coming, but it's still tough.
Then, Yesterday our friends daughter passed away. Lynds had severe cerbral palsy and couldn't walk or talk. She has had a lot of health problems in the past but had been doing great, so this was fairly unexpected. While I know she's now able to dance and sing in Heaven, my heart is so heavy for her family. Lynds was their ony child and she was everything to them.
Finally, on Wednesday, Sy, one of my co-workers from the gym passed away. She battled cancer for over a year. Perhaps this one is the hardest because while I know she's pain free in Heaven, she left a husband and three beautiful boys behind.
Please Pray for the families left behind as they make the necessary arrangements. Pray that the peace that passes all understanding will just envelope them.

Cajun Fest 2008

This weekend was the first annual Cajun Fest. There has been a lot of advertising so we were pretty excited! Chris and I headed downtown for some cajun food and an evening of fun. Buutt...Cajun fest consisted of 5 booths, 4 different types of food and some inflatable things for kids. Not exactly up to par with Trails west!! Oh well....I tried some Gumbo and Chris was pretty excited to try crawfish.
Becky, from Chris' work, joined us as well!

Emma Missed Me...

Home Sweet Home

I got home to at about 7:00 tonight. While I miss Erin and fam I'm happy to be home. Chris is such a great husband....He had the house completely clean and lilies on the table waiting for me. He was so sweet to let me stay in co for so long. I know it wasn't easy for him but he didn't complain at all. AANNDD he even went to Wal-Mart by himself and made tuna salad. For those of you who don't know, Chris won't cook for himself. And has even gone days without eating when I'm not home. So this was a big step!

All things said and done....Chris survived without me. And I had so much fun in co! I'll post more pics from co soon!
