Pumpkin Carving

The womens group at church carved pumpkins for our get together this month. It was my first time to ever carve a pumpkin, and may be my last for a few years! It was a lot harder than I though it would be!! Here's the finished product!

Fall Has Fallen....

You know, just like Spring has Sprung! It'll catch on, just you wait!

Not that I ever really need a reason to bake, but we had a fall party for church yesterday. So I made a batch of my fall sugar cookies complete with my grandmas kool-aid frosting! There'd be more, but I burnt the last tray....oops! At least the dogs enjoyed the 'well done' cookies!

Just some of the pots of chilli! yum!!

All the boys, ready to play Battle of the Sexes!

ResQ Bonfire

Chris and I have started volunteering in the church youth group, ResQ. We really love getting involved with the kids. Sunday was the annual bonfire. We had a great time getting to know the kids better, and of course, making hotdogs and smores!!

Doggie Date

We've been looking for a good place to play some paintball capture the flag. Kyle, a guy Chris works with, has 385 acres, so we headed up there on Sunday to check it out. It also just so happens that he has to Vizslas. So, we brought Marathon to play! They ran and played for hours, and she loved every minute of it!As you can tell, this was near the end of the day, when the dogs are pretty worn out!!

Chris was pretty excited to practice his paintball skills!!

Also, if you think about it today keep Joanne in your prayers (the super-cute pregnant girl pictured above)! She's being induced today and has been in the hospital since yesterday!

WVU VS Colorado!

Mollie had some tickets to the WVU game last night, so we made it a girls night and headed out to the game! Traffic was crazy....it took us 2 hours to make a 40 mile trip! It was a pretty good game. Even though WVU didn't play very well, we still won, and that's what matters!!
Their marching band was AMAZING! They were in the shape of West Virginia here!

Here comes the Mountaneers!

Capture the Flag

Getting ready for Capture the Flag!!
Rickey invited us all to his 100 acre farm in Mannington to play Capture the Flag. We all had a great time and are already talking about the next Capture the Flag event with paintball guns. After the game, Joanne cooked hot dogs and we had chips, drinks, and s'mores. We all had an unforgettable evening!!
