We're Moving!

As of today Chris' current project is on permanent hold. T. Boone Pickens (the backer for the project) put a stop on it because of the current stock market. It looks like we'll be here Through the end of September. We have no idea where we'll be going after that! We're hoping we can get on a project closer to St. Joe, but if not hopefully we'll get one in a bigger city! We know God has something in store, and we're excited to find out what! We'll keep you updated!

First Full Day as a Liu

Yesterday was Marathon's 1st full day with us. She actually slept great, and only cried right when we put her to bed, but slept the whole night. Potty training started getting better tonight. She doesn't have the hang of it, but we're learning her signals. Emma is doing a little better today. We took the girls to the park and Emma let Marathon ride in my lap which is a big improvement!! I even took Marathon running yesterday....kind of....she only lasted about 8 minutes. Oh well, It's a start. We went for a long walk yesterday and wore Emma and Marathon out. They both passed out when we came home!
Heading home from the park!
Marathon passed out after our long walk.

Introducing Marathon!!

We went and picked up Marathon today...we'll call her Mara for short. Emma isn't so sure of her yet, but I'm sure they'll get used to each other in a few days. Notice in the pictures Mara is riding on the floor board. Really, we're not that mean of dog owners. However Emma had a fit whenever Marathon sat on my lap so she became content to eat treats and bones on the floor board!!

The Liu Family is Expanding!!

No, we're not having a baby. BUT we are getting another dog! If all goes as planned, we'll be getting a vizsla/lab mix on Sunday. It's be a baby girl, but we haven't decided on a name. She's about 10 weeks old, so she'll be little for now. Granted, she'll probably already far outweigh emma already! We want the name to have something to do with running (seeing as how this will be my new running partner)....any suggestions?! We'll post pictures as soon as we have them!

Project Complete!!

I mentioned a while ago that Chris and I were in the process of transferring all of my grandparents' slides into the computer and creating dvds. Well I'm finally done!!....with my part anyway!! I have scanned 1,778 slides into the computer. Keep in mind that these slides start from right before my grandparents' wedding and go through my parents' wedding!! Now Chris just has to create a sllide show on a dvd with the pictures. He still has a lot of work a head of him, but I'm glad to be finished with my side! Now maybe I can get back to scrapbooking (I still need to finish our trip to Taiwan and start/finish our Disney world trip!!). Here's a few random photos from the slides:
Grandma, Aunt LeeAnn, and my mom (the baby)
Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt LeeAnn, and mom
Aunt LeeAnn, Uncle Bob, and my cousin Todd. I'm gonna have to hear the story behind the matching shirts!!

Vizslas

I (Jillian) have been wanting a running partner for a while. Chris and I seem to have settled on wanting a Vizsla. Vizslas are the same coloring as Emma, so Chris thinks it will look like her mom...haha! I think they're very pretty and will keep me running everyday. So, I was talking to Allison on Skype the other night and told her and Elijah I want a big dog. Elijah quickly replied, 'A big dog will eat me.' I tried to tell him he could ride it and it would be okay, but he didn't seem convinced. I had Allison look up Vizslas online and this was our convo:

Allison: oh yeah, they're pretty.

Jillian: Yeah, we really like them

Allison: oh, they're originally from Hungary

Elijah: yeah, he does look hungry....he will eat me!

Super Eli!!

Erin and I were talking about Jett's new pastime (jumping off the arm of the couch) and it reminded me of a video of Elijah. This was taken when they were here in May.

Look familiar Erin??

Chris is in Miami!!

Miami, Texas that is! Not as exciting, I know. But I would be pretty upset if he left me here in W.F. and jetted off to Miami. I don't mind being left behind when he's going to a small town like Miami, Texas.

In other news....Bo, our house guest went home today. Becky finally got the air conditioning fixed in her RV, so it was safe for him to go home. Emma will miss him though. Surprisingly, they had become friends. Emma woke me this morning crying and wining at bedroom door so she could see him this morning.

Oklahoma City Zoo

We spent Saturday at the Oklahoma City Zoo with our friends Joann and Caleb. It really was a great zoo! The weather wasn't horribly hot and we got to see some great animals. We even got growled at by a Tiger!! The only downside to the trip was that our camera battery died shortly after we got there (and I left the charger in Mo). Luckily Caleb took tons of picks and will forward them to us. On the way home, however we realized all we did was take pics of the animals and didn't get one pick of any of us!! I can't believe we did that!! Oh well....here's a couple animals:

Unexpected House Guest

Our friend Becky went out of town on Thursday, and she asked that we stop by her place each morning and feed her cat. Chris headed over Friday and the air conditioning wasn't working in Becky's RV. It was all ready about 100 degrees in there, so we took Beau Joseph home for the weekend. It's been interesting trying to keep Emma and Beau seperate. Today, though I gave up and they actually did pretty well! However I don't think Emma realizes that Beau is more than double her size!
