Bridgeport City Park

The girls and I really enjoy our daily evening walks at the park. Here are a couple of pictures from the park.

This kid is fishing at the river using a giant net. It really frightens me when I see people fishing in this river. Someone really needs to tell them that the city sewer backs up into the river. Hope they don't eat what they catch.

Here is a picture of the wildlife here in Bridgeport. If you look at the center of the picture you can see a deer about 50 feet from us. On our walks we see tons of rabbits, deer, squirrels, birds, and even a beaver. Yesterday evening a deer ran right in front of us and made the girls go nuts. Took me about 10 minutes to get them settled back down. Thanks a lot Bambi!!

Hot, Summer Days

It has been incredably hot here....upper 90's all week. So, of course, this warrants a day at the pool with the family! Alli, Elijah, Nicole, and I headed out earlier this week to relax and cool off. It definately felt great, however we are all sunburned....pretty bad! Thank goodness for mustard!!!

I had a GREAT time, even though it always feels the week goes by too fast! Here are some pics from a great week!

Me, Abby, and Ashley-the girl cabin leaders at the Special Olympics after our cabins got to put pudding pies in our faces!!

Jessica (one of my campers) and her boyfriend Anthony!

Anthony and Jessica at the dance!

Justin and I at the dance

Me and Buddy....He's been attending Camp Rainbow for all 49 years it has been around!!

Jeff and Christie--two of my fave campers!

Sarah, Abby, and I

Ashley and I at the dance...oh and Derek's hands...thanks a lot!

Aaron and one of my new fave campers, Richard

We had a few hitches, but all-in-all it was a great week!!!

Bad Way to Start the Morning

Looks like someone is off to a bad start. This is not how I would ever want to start my mornings. Maybe that's way New Yorkers are always so mad and grouchy in the mornings.
Little interesting fact: I followed the car for about a mile or so and amazingly their starbucks never fell off.
