Jeschke Christmas

Even with all the snow, we managed to have the Jeschke Christmas on Christmas night. We were, however missing some our family who couldn't make it from Kansas City due to the weather. Even though it was a little smaller, we had a blast!
It's a Jeschke tradition to sing Christmas carols, and it's definately one of my favorite parts. Elijah got to hand out the song books this year!

Nanny is a great guitar player and always leads us in the singing!

All in all, we had a great, white Christmas!!

Snow Day!

Here's a few pics from our Christmas snow days at Jennifer and Andres'!

Yep!! Boredom=pull-up contest and P90x ab workout!

Christmas Day

We always open Christmas presents with Chris' family on Christmas morning. Some years we stay the night Christmas Eve, and sometimes we don't. Christmas Eve night the weather started getting bad, so we decided it would be best to head over to their house so we didn't end up stuck at our house alone. Little did we realize just how much snow and ice we would get! We ended up being snowed in for 3 days!! It was a wild time, but full of fun! Here's some pics of our time!

Chris and I got to stay in the newly renovated basement....however, it was a little cold since they had the heat vents closed! Chris tried to stay warm until the basement warmed up a little!

Nice and fresh for Christmas morninging...ha!

We suprised Jennifer and Andres with a new tv! They were pretty shocked!!

Christmas Eve Celebration!

We always open presents with my mom on Christmas Eve morning. We got up at 6am, since my baby sister is still young and believes presents are more important than sleep! We had a great morning filled with traditions and presents! Then we spent the rest of the morning/afternoon enjoying our gifts!
Mom and Elijah reading the Christmas story before opening gifts!

Allison, Loric, and Lij getting into the presents!

Chris hearts funions!

My mom gave Lij a Vmotion, which is like a wii for kids. Needless to say, he was excited!

Oh Happy Day!!

Yesterday my sister Dalynne got married. She was a beautiful bride and I'm so happy for her! Day and Courtney were so cute and in love! She'll be a great army wife! Congrats Day!!

Christmas Baking!

It's become a Christmas tradition that Nicole comes over and bakes with me, and that Elijah and I make Christmas sugar cookies at some point. This year Allison even joined in on the fun....and I mean cooking, not just a spectator!!

Elijah enjoying some marshmellow creme

Elijah had total control of the sugar cookies.....this is what he made!

I realize this picture is shocking......Allison cooking fudge!!!

Liu, Sharp, and Bixler Christmas!

Last night the Bixlers, Lius, and Sharps got together for dinner a gift exchange! Our Christmas dinner consisted of pizza, veggies, and cookies. Maybe not the healthiest or most traditional, but still fun and hassle free! The plan was to watch a Christmas movie too, but we ended up talking and never got to the movie....very typical of us!! Ben and his season 1 of Dexter! There will be a movie night very soon!

Joann bought some super cute cookies from a local bakery!

That's right, boys; she's single!!

My cookie platter from the Bixlers!

We're all pretty fond of Baby Caylea!

Lifepointe Christmas Dinner

We've been so blessed to have such an amazing church family here in WV. It's hard to explain how important a good church is when you've moved 500 miles from all your family and friends!! We started attending Lifepointe in June, and have just fallen in love with the church and people! Last night was the annual Christmas dinner. It was a great night of fun, fellowship, and food!!

Bryce and Adam are great guys from our youth group!

Chris and Ben enjoying the entertainment!

When Sarah sees a camera she automatically gives the thumbs up....it's becoming a problem.

Here's a picture of us with our beautiful Christmas tree! We have 10 foot ceilings here so we were able to get a big tree! I love it!!

U-G-L-Y

Yesterday we had the first annual Ugly Sweater Party. It was quite amazing. Everyone wore the ugliest Christmas sweater they could find. Then we picked 4 people who didn't participate to be the judges to pick the ugliest sweater. And, of course, yours truly was tied for the winner!! Enjoy the amazing pictures of the evening!!

The entire good looking group of us in our ugly sweaters!!

Joanne, Sarah, and Baby Caylea!

We also had a great Christmas dinner. Ben made an awesome turkey! We have some pretty amazing cooks in our group of friends!!
Ben carving the great turkey!

Chris and I in our ugly sweaters. His isn't a Christmas sweater, so he didn't qualify for the competition, but it was still basicelly amazing!

The three finalists! Thomas and I tied for first place....I think you can see why!!
